Welcome to Nera Conference 2025!

The Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA) is a Nordic conference for educational research. NERA strives to promote educational inquiry and supports the use of research to enhance education. It aims to strengthen the visibility of education as a discipline in the Nordic societies and to provide a platform for Nordic researchers as well as collaboration between them and the international community.

The theme for the conference is A Pedagogy of Hope: Gratitude, Diversity and Sustainability in Education. We welcome proposals that address the conference theme, but proposals outside the theme with relevance for the Nordic educational research area are also welcome. Abstract submission opens Oct 1, 2024.

The conference is held in March 5-7, 2025 at the University of Helsinki’s City Centre Campus, in the heart of Helsinki.
